The Monday report that builds itself

The numbers lived in four different tools and a spreadsheet. Now they land on one dashboard every morning, and the weekly report writes itself.

Dashboards & reporting · the kind of thing I build

A lot of businesses already have the data they need. It’s just scattered: sales in one tool, stock in another, social or marketing numbers in a third, and a spreadsheet glueing it all together. This could be a shop with a few outlets, or a creator or small brand tracking several platforms. The problem looks the same.

Before

Every Monday, someone logs into each platform, downloads an export and spends a couple of hours building a report. By the time it’s done, it’s already out of date. Different people quote different numbers because they each looked at a different file. And a bad week only becomes visible in next week’s report.

What the system does

  • Automatic syncing: small connectors pull the numbers from each tool on a schedule. Nobody downloads anything.
  • One source of truth: everything is cleaned and stored the same way, in one database.
  • A dashboard people actually open: today against a normal day, what’s up, what’s down, and how each outlet or platform compares.
  • Alerts: a message when something drops below a level you set, so you hear about it the same day.
  • Reports that write themselves: the Monday summary is generated and emailed automatically.

What changes day to day

Nobody spends Monday morning in Excel anymore. Everyone looks at the same numbers. Problems come up while there’s still time to fix them, and the business finally has a reliable history to plan with.

How I’d build it

First I check where the data really lives and how clean it is, because that decides what’s realistic. The first version shows just one or two key numbers, checked against the old manual report so people trust it. Then we add the rest.
